    Difference between SL9300 & SL9400

    Just wondering if there is actually a noticeable difference between the 1.6 and the 1.86.

    Agreed. CPU alone rarely makes any differences between such close specs.

    CPU intensive jobs like calculations or decoding run 16% faster on the 1.86GHz.

    For example, if such a job takes 30 seconds on the SL9300, it will take 25 seconds on the SL9400.

    thanks for the quick reply guys! one last question though, if i was to do some casual FPS on this will it make a difference (considering that the graphics is only a mere intel 4500MHD)

    Something like TF2 with lowest graphics settings..hopefully it will run..

    I've read that TF2 should run reasonably with medium settings on a 4500MHD. You can use the site's search function or Google for more details.

    Make sure you get 4GB in dual channel, it provides a nice boost for Intel 4500.

    The difference between these two will not be noticeable by you. While few applications may benefit, it will be a marginal benefit at best, one you won't notice.
