    Difference between T5600 & T7200?

    Is the difference between theese two processors noticable? So its worth the extra bucks?

    It really depends on what you are doing. You'll get the biggest difference in CPU intensive apps like video encoding. Routine tasks like Internet or Office won't be any faster. Spend the extra cash on a faster hard drive or more memory which will make a more appreciable difference.

    Again not much of a difference(you actually might not noice any increase/decrease in FPS given the type of game), the T7200 will be faster but since most modern game performance is bound to the GPU & amount of RAM. Having these become more critical rather than having the faster processor.

    The biggest difference will be in sound/MP3 encoding, since that requires a lot of CPU power and RAM access, and the extra speed and larger cache will help.

    What do you think is a fair price to go from a T5500 to a T7200 or T7400?

    What I mean by that is, why do you think a fair difference should be, leaving all other specs the same?

    Basically, I would recommend the 7200. It's the good price / performance spot.
