Is it worth the money to go from an:

    Intel® P8600 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.40GHz w/3MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB 25 watt

    to either the ~Intel® T9400 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.53GHz w/6MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB 35 watt or

    ~Intel® P9500 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.53GHz w/6MB L2 On-die cache - 1066MHz FSB 25 watt .

It would be $165 more for the P9500.

The GPU i am getting is the 1,024MB PCI-Express nVidia GeForce 9800M GTX DDR3 DX10, or should i save some money here and go with the 512MB PCI-Express nVidia Quadro FX2700M DDR3 DX10?

For 130MHz increase for 165$, I would say it's not worth it. I suggest you go with the P8600 which is already powerful enough to handle any of your games....even P8400 is enough for any uses....In my opinion, you should should not save money on the graphics.....therefore, go with the 9800M GTX GDDR3 and P8600 processor for the best overall performance as the graphic card is usually the bottleneck in applications like games

I agree with the above. The P9500 has nothing over the P8600 except for some additional cache and 100MHz of clock speed; hardly worth $165.

Save the money to balance the system out better with the 9800M GTX.
