I am going to buy new SSD tomorrow, I wonder is the only diffrence between Agility Series and Vertex Series the read/write speed ?

    OCZ 30 GB SSD 2,5" S-ATA II - Agility Series 185MB/100MB sec, 64MB

    OCZ 30 GB SSD 2,5" S-ATA II 64MB cache - Vertex Series, Read/Write 200/160MB/sec

I have allready one Vertex for my Qosmio, but I have never heard anything about Agility Series. Does any of you experience with it ?

The Agility uses the same controller, but (potentially) slower flash modules. But sometimes OCZ uses the same flash chips in the Agility that they use for the Vertex, and sometimes they use faster modules if that is all that is available for manufacturing. In all reality, the Agility is a better deal than the Vertex IMHO.

It uses different memory than the Vertex (Samsung). I believe Agility has at least 2 different possible memory types, one is slower than the Samsung memory in the Vertex and one is faster. But it's really luck of the draw as to which one you'd get. Other than that, they use the same controller.

    edit: too slow :p

Hey and thanks for fast response!
I am going to use it on my Lenovo, wich I use at school. So performance is not the main point. :)
Looks like I am going to get it tomorrow. Thanks again!
    REP added to both :)
