I have a Dell WFP2007 monitor (with composite, s-video, VGA, and DVI inputs) and I'm going to get digital cable service soon. How can I hook up the cable TV to my monitor? I'd rather not connect it through my laptop if possible. Also, I would like to be able to take advantage of the digital channels.

To do that without going via a laptop and a TV tuner, your set-top-box (you will have one if you got a digital package and that is what you'll connect to your monitor) ought to have at least composite, and possibly S-video as well. If it is a HD box, then you'll probably have HDMI so get a HDMI-DVI connector and you'd be set.
