I have a new Inspiron 1525. I use a dual monitor setup with a Samsung Syncmaster 770TFT. When I used this monitor on my previous computer it worked fine. Attached to my laptop, the screen is washed out, dim, and I don't know how to improve it, or if it is possible. I've tried using the Graphics Properties interface to no avail. Is this just the wrong kind of monitor for this display adapter? Do you have any suggestions on how I can improve my second monitor display. What I have now is unworkable in the long term. It's just as bad when I turn off the notebook display. Thank you.

What do you mean by the graphics display properties?

Open and adjust the menu settings on the samsung display, unless that's what you mean by the above.

    Monitor brightness is hardware related.

    Contrast - hardware & signal.
