I have nVidia GT 540 mobile graphic card on my Toshiba Satellite P750 laptop but system uses Intel's integrated graphic card. I disabled it but screen went black, and i had to go to device manager "blind". How do I disable integrated card and activate nVidia ..

If your laptop has Nvidia Optimus Technology(which I think it does), it should switch automatically from integrated to discrete .

The Intel card does the displaying and the nVIDIA card does processing, turning off when not needed to save power.

The Intel card cannot be disabled unless the nVIDIA GPU is wired to the display and the computer has a BIOS option to switch to a discrete mode - I think most Optimus notebooks would not have this option, however you can set in nVIDIA control panel to set the nVIDIA card for more/all programs.

NVIDIA's old hybrid system (like on the Alienware M11x R1) used to have both GPUs connected to the display, but Optimus did away with that entirely. If you disable the integrated GPU on any Optimus-enabled system, you will get a black screen.
