    I bought a notebook about a month ago w/a T7300 2.0ghz 4MB cache proc.

Now that I look at HP/Dell again... neither have that option. Was there a problem with it? Are there recalls?

Doubtful there's recalls on simply on model of processor.

Probably a supply problem, as the T7300 is the sweet spot of the price/performance line in the T7x00 line of processors.

I am getting ready to order a Vostro in the next week or so with the T7300. It is still listed as an option there. I agree with JM, probably just a supply problem.

I think its a marketing thing since the t7250 replaces the t7300. ^ that is true though that the t7300 is the sweet spot but they want people to opt for the the t7500 atleast so Intel introduced the T7250.

the T7250 has the same 2.0Ghz, 800mhz FSB but with a lower 2mb cache. so people will actually go for the t7500 for a little more money. I personally don't see why not since Intel had a price drop beginning of this month.

Intel dropped the prices due to the introduction of their new T7800 processor clocked at 2.8Ghz.

I believe that Intel's latest pricing means that the T7500 is now the price that the T7300 was last month. Most likely the T7250 is at the T7100 price point.

They probably wanted to keep the price point of the laptops the same. So since the T7500 dropped to the T7300 price point they may have just phased out the T7300 from those particular notebooks.
