I have been waiting for a while for someone to post a tutorial on how to disassemble the hp dv9500t. I'm scared disassemble this laptop, because i have no clue where to start.
Please someone, anyone, show me how to get to the the CPU and GPU for cleaning purposes on this laptop!

For cleaning purposes, just find an air compressor or just buy a can of compressed gas from a staples store. Taking the whole system apart to get dust out is kindof a waste of time.

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
... but if you really want to disassemble it, there should be a service manual on the HP site.

I'd start with that, read it over, and see if it makes you any more comfortable about cracking the thing open. Also, make sure you follow all of the safety guidelines scrupulously, especially concerning static electricity - one tiny little lapse for the sake of convenience can and will kill your notebook; if you don't already have a static-free work-pad and a static guard wrist attachment (which plugs into the grounding point in any outlet receptacle) get one first before you do anything else (been there, done that - hung the dead motherboard up on the wall as a warning). -
and here is a good tip...when taking it apart, use a digital camera to take pictures of it during each phase. that way you know what screws go where and how the componets fit together. that hp manual is nice and all, but nothing beats COLOR pictures. the ones that can be brought up on a computer and blown up to see what is what......just a bit of advice.....
