Hey, I bought a display port (DP 20-pin male) to HDMI (v1.3b 19-pin male) cable today. I want to connect my thinkpad T420 to my TV and was wondering if anyone could tell me if this cable would work. Also will it transfer audio? The cable says this cable transfers high resolution video (no audio) from a display port equipped PC to HDMI equiped TV.

Uhm, you have the notebook and the cable and we're supposed to guess if it will work for you?

Why don't you connect them up and let us know if it worked or not.

Along with any questions you might have then...

*most* DP ports are DP++, meaning they have backwards compatibility with HDMI.
