    @Towlieee I don't know about this particular adapter, but mine which costs like 10x cheaper and looks similar (albeit not exactly the same) does pass sound. Bottom line, the price is just ridiculous.

    I'd just go snag one from microcenter, but its a hour and 20 minute drive now that I moved, and time is money haha

    I might just order one and wait, I know they are dirt cheap online, and I hate shopping at over priced best buy, but only store that has PC parts in town :(


    edit: I went ahead and snagged one, screw it $25 for happiness is a small price to pay LOL... Still haven't tested it yet, but will tonight or tomorrow.
    I shouldn't have sold my spare Lenovo that had HDMI to a friend, he was in need, and I actually took a loss on it. I didn't like the laptop anyways, got it cheap, it was a "edge", figured it would be cool, turned out the keyboard was garbage and it felt like basic consumer grade laptops, it had hdmi, so it was my media center for the time I had it LOL

    re-edit: works perfect, plug and play :)
