I don't game; however, I plan to do some video editing. Do I need to upgrade to a dedicated graphic card for that? Or is an Intel x3000 integrated graphic card sufficient?

For video editing you just need a powerful CPU. Video rendering (like creating 3D stuff) would need a good GPU.

    So no.

I second Greg. Also you should check out The Mobile Graphics Card Info Page - Most GPU Qs answered thread. Chaz wrote it and it has some really great information. Hope that helps :)

A dedicated GPU is always nice to have. It frees up ram, and take the some of the load off the CPU. If you plan on doing play back of 720p/ 1080i the I would say a dedicated GPU is a good thing to have. You will see when you try and to playback at full res and your card will be struggling. More CPU and more RAM will decrease rendering/ encoding times. I would say nothing less then 1gb ram and 2gb it good, more is better.
