If I want to be able to use my laptop by plugging it into the wall, do I need an AC adapter, or is it some other type of cord I need. I am buying a laptop from the Dell website, and I don't know if I need to purchase this separately, or if it automatically comes with the laptop?

If you buy a laptop, it will come with an AC adapter that you use to plug your laptop into the wall.

The AC Adapter/Charger comes with the Laptop. It is also used to charge the Laptop battery.
