I bought my brand new laptop 3 months ago, updated drivers and optimized the system. The system has been running flawlessly. I am just wondering whether I just keep keep all drivers updated whenever available(e.g. chipset installation utility, graphic express, WLAN, drivers, etc) or not necessary???
Thank for your tips!

Perhaps not necessarily for stability, but you may want to keep things updated for performance and security reasons (like wireless security and performance, video card performance, etc)

Nope, if it ain't broke, you don't need to fix it.
Though security may be an issue with older drivers. -
I *usually* try to run the most up to date drivers for everything, but I always read the release notes first.
And, yes, the newest drivers are not always better. As Coriolis pointed out, messing with a perfectly running system is not really necessary unless it is out of a security concern.
There have been many times where I retrograded back to an original driver and/or application because it negatively impacted performance.

The only thing you really need to make sure you update is Windows, because it's full of holes. The drivers, unless you have a problem, don't do it. Same with updating the BIOS. Read the release notes for any updates you consider, and if it doesn't add a feature you want or fix a bug you have, don't use it. My laptop doesn't behave well with the newer NVIDIA drivers. I can't play DX9 games on the 160 or 101 series, but they work fine on the 97 series. Wireless and bluetooth, you may want to keep updated on.
Do I need to update drivers even the system runs flawlessly
