Over time, almost everything lowers in price (in real terms, at least). It's just a matter of time and how much you're wanting to save compared to the new retail price.

3920xm's have drastically lowered in price since their release. 1 year ago they were selling on eBay for around $900. Today you can snatch a brand new one up for around $400.

Yep due to tdp you can push it to about 3.8-3.9ghz at most full pelt.

First months they are at stupidly high prices usually for those who can't wait. Like 400$ for starter i7 and 1000$ for XM.
Then they come closer to reality which I call base price when 200-250 for starter I7 and 450-550$ for XM. This is when you can get used i7 50$ lower due to people who upgrade even higher.
Before next gen release prices go down 50$ where prices on used go 50$ lower too.
Soon after that release prices will go up because there will be less processors on the market so don't loose the time.
And when comes another next gen CPU then only prices on XM will be still high (200-250$) while other will be way too cheaper. Used will cost almost nothing like 50-80$.
