    Scenario 1: I use a laptop daily.
    Scenario 2: I use a laptop once a week.

    Will laptop in 2nd scenario last me 7 times longer as compared to scenario 1 ?

    The only thing I would consider degrading would be battery life if its in...heat sucks, so I leave mine out because its on AC all the time =]

    Well, yes. That's a valid point. But as long as the battery is stored as it should be, there should not be any issues..
