Simple Question.
Do you use the touch pad while gaming or an external mouse I use the touch pad sometimes but mostly my mouse.
-
Touch pad during emergencies or playing with noobs. I actually enjoy using the touchpad in halo 1 when nobody good is playing. The mouse comes out when it gets serious.
-
The only time I recall using my touchpad while gaming was during part of Portal (doesn't really need a mouse) and when we do touchpad matches on CS:S
-
I avoid the touchpad like the plague unless the game really doesn't need a mouse of any kind.
-
it works pretty well for slow paced games like oblivion and stuff...tried to play FPS with it and got shot before i could even turn.
-
Yes. I'm better with a touch pad then a mouse. I OWN in Call of duty 4 and BF 2 with the touchpad.
-
I play Halo in class every once in awhile. other than that there is no reason to if you have access to a mouse, or you are playing a game that doesn't utilize it much.
-
I use touchpad .....
and instead of getting cramp in my thumb i use my left thumb which is on the WASD keys for the left click and my right thumb for right click and finger next to thumb for the touchpadI only do a bit of casual gaming.. COD4 Battlefield 2142... And a load of racing games
-
I use a mouse most of the time...
well, as a matter of fact i don't remember using touchpad for any game... -
I used the touch pad for portal a few times, it was ok... Not so in half life 2, at least for me, even with the sensitivity turned way up, it still feels less responsive than a mouse.
On a related note: I've done loads of CAD drafting using Solid Works using only a touch pad, It really doesn't hinder me there... -
Not for me. Playing RTS games and Diablo2 with a touchpad is the fastest way to get frustrated and cause property damage. Nothing wrong with it when playing TBS games like the Heroes series, Age of Wonders series and Disciples 2.
-
external mouse. lol i treat my touch pad sacred, only for browsing or work on the go
-
External mouse almost always. Tried BFV with touchpad once and kept on shooting my allies in the back with a whole magazine of ammo by mistake. Age of Empires III didn't work well, either. Civilization III can be played with a touchpad, and I've done so before, but given the choice I'd rather have a mouse. Easier left-clicking, more precise movement - just better.
