    Does anybody know if the HP Pavilion zd8227EA Notebook PC has a built in microphone - I asked HP support by email and they said the model wasn't in their database .
    The Product Number is EF039EA#ABU
    Date of Purchase August 2005

    HP only started to include the microphones on their later models, none of the zd8000's I have seen had built-in microphones.

    EDIT: The service manual for the series doesnt list a built in microphone in the component catalog section...

    I was trying to make a recording - I don't have an external microphone and was hoping there was an internal one but you have clarified the situation ( i.e. There isn't ) which is something HP couldn't do.
