    Does RAM company really not matter?

    All of those should be fine although I haven't heard much of PNY, but usually the company doesn't matter.

    Paying $50 more for 800mhz ram is ridiculous because you wont even see a large enough increase in performance to say "My $50 was well worth it" the fact that it is 4gb will please your needs of an increased performance.

    To put all 4gb's of RAM to use remember to have a x64 O.S.

    800MHz RAM is not worth it...especially since most laptops only support up to 667MHz.

    I'm doing the some thing...what is O.S? Does Inspiron 1520 have x64?

    I belive so; however, Dell only ships Vista in the 32-bit version. So yeah, I'm getting the 4 GB so that later on, when i upgrade to the 64-bit, I'll be fine. In addition, does the 64-bit not have issues with supporting antivirus software at this point?
