Only if you don't have enough memory to start with that you run out and the game has to page things out to the hard drive. That being said, if you have 2GB already (you could probably get away with 1GB) you won't likely see an increase in fps (dependent on the memory use of the game). You will however notice an increase in general responsiveness of your laptop.

It depends on the memory requirements of the game and how much you plan on upgrading. If the requirements specify 2GB of RAM, then ~2GB should be sufficient; but keep in mind that upgrading to 4GB or 6GB, for example, would bring you no performance gains. In any case, my point is that a given app only needs so much RAM, and once you start upgrading past that requirement, your performance gains start to plateau. Does that explanation make sense?

Anyways, how much RAM do you have? What games are you looking at playing, and what OS are you running?

Your system has either one of these 6 graphics cards. Intel GMA 950, Intel GMA x3100, Nvidia 6150 go, Nvidia 7150m, Nvidia 7200 go or an nvidia 8400m gs. None of these cards are really capable of gaming but it depends. What kind of games are you trying to play?

I think the first to posts are best.

I played Empire Earth 2 on a 1,6GHz Centrino (Pentium M) laptop with an Intekl 910GSM (something like that...) - and 512MB RAM :D - it worked :D
After upgrading to 756 later 1GB it ran better.

So as people said depends on your initial condition, whether your game needs a lot of RAM so that your HD is used for a pagefile...

Just hit start the task manager before you start your game, start the game, once it lags, hit the windows key and check RAM usage - if you exceeded your RAM then yes a RAM upgrade will help, also possibly if you are very close to your RAM space, otherwise not.

And the graphics card - I suppose it depends on the game and settings a lot too...
