    Hi Guys,

Just brought myself a new IBM T61 laptop and am wondering if it has lightscribe or how to check if it has it. The code for the DVD rom is a Optiarc DVD RW AD-7910A ATA device.

    Thanks
    Matthew

Download Nero Infotool, and run the application. It will tell you everything your drive supports, reading and writing wise

You need the lightscribe control panel thing, also it has a tester tool to see if your drive is compatible.

After you have the lightscribe software installed you need lightscribe disks and some kind of label making software. I think lightscribe software comes with a very simple/basic one but I like Nero Cover Designer best.

I always make my labels beforehand in photoshop with a lightscribe template I googled for, then just use cover designer to put that image on the disk.
