    Hello,

I have an ASUS M70VM-C1 and have noticed that the screen seems less bright than it was when I bought it some months ago. Also, for the first time I am noticing that when I tilt the screen up and down, depending on the angle, it looks as though a shadow has been cast over it - or at other angles, it appears more bright. If I recall correctly, the screen used to look great at any angle. I did not notice this before and I am concerned that one of the lamps may have died an early death. Is there any way to confirm that this is or is not the case? This is a 17 incher and I believe it has two lamps, but cannot say for sure. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Also, my sister seems to think her 40 lb dog may have sat on it (closed) for a couple minutes while she was in a corner store (it was in her car); could this have screwed it up?

    Thanks,

    Pan.droid

Most LCD panels exhibit this behaviour normally

It's natural depending upon viewing angle.
