Short version: I turned it on this morning and neither of the hard drives were showing, not the OS on a 256 SSD or the 2TB data hard drive. So it went straight to the BIOS and I tried the usual tricks including calling tech support. Thing is, I need to get the data drive out of there ASAP and plug it in to the main computer. Except the back cover wont remove. I removed the screws but it only starts to pry off a little when it stops. One thread suggested there were more screws under the little rubber bumpers, but there are not on my model. I need to get the hard drive out of there, that is the first thing, and I don't want to crack or ruin the plastic back cover.
It is a P34v3 14", its 4 months old. I had the blue screen of death recently and it crashed when I was using a certain program, so I completely uninstalled and reinstalled all the video drivers, so far so good, but I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Any info on the back cover removal? Thx . . .

A possible work-around: Can you boot from a Live Linux flash drive and see if you can access the drive contents?

Not sure if it's the same exact model, but hope this helps:

thanks, that is nice how he just lifts off the cover after wiggling it, mine is still firmly attached even though all the screws are removed. I tried prying it off and the plastic started to crack so it is not an easy snap off.
maybe the keyboard needs to come off first
