    Hello

I would like to know if there is any improvement to sound quality if I go to

Speaker properties>levels>subwoofer and set it to 100

since the default is disabled and my one other question is it safe to set it at 100 as I require to listen to great quality songs and a bit concerned if this can cause any damage to the laptop speakers/headphones

It shouldn't hurt it, if you hear distortion turn it down.

If your really worried just do it in increments rather than jumping to 100

Since they are incapable of creating anywhere near those frequencies it is unlike they will be damaged by them. Nevertheless, you should know that it is distortion that is the greatest threat to your speakers. So in kind of a roundabout way that answer could be yes.

Still, you won't likely notice any change nor any improvement. When you connect to a true subwoofer via a stereo sound system, that will definitely change.

BTW, great quality should comes from great quality speakers. Any setting is designed to compensate for a speakers limitation and to a lesser extent, ambiance and position. In theory the better the speakers the less adjustments it will need. If you want great sound, get great speakers.
