I want to move my notebook to a drawer in a cabinet in which it fits perfectly and use it from this location intermittently, except I need to have one USB cable plugged in. There is only about 3/8" clearance on the side, which means I cannot use a standard USB cable. There are flat wall plugs like below that one can use say if a couch has to go up against a wall with an outlet. Is there a similar adapter or cable for USB that sits flatter and the cable comes off it at right angle?

Hmmm... sometimes google's your friend. I found some options.

3/8" is very tight, there are options but not sure if they are thin enough.

in theory I could carve a bit of material in one spot to add a bit of clearance. I think it will work and the right angle cables are cheap enough to try ($7).

Starlight5 Yes, I'm a cat. What else is there to say, really?
@gmm22 this one almost fits. You can cut the outer plastic a bit, then it should fit without a problem.

Thanks Starlight. I had ordered a right angle cable the next day. It was close, and I was able to pare away a little bit of wood in the cabinet with a chisel to get the clearance I needed. It's a utility cabinet, not an antique of any kind. In any event, there's some interesting configurations in the link you provided if needed in the future.

Does such a USB product exist?
