Does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade from a Dothan cpu to a Core duo cpu in a laptop? I have an ibm T41p that I know will upgrade to a Dothan pentium M 755, but I'm wondering if it would also take a Core duo.

    Thanks in advance!

No, the socket the two processors use are different. They have the same number of pins, however, one of them it placed slightly differently, that doesn't allow it to fit into the socket.

No I'm sorry, the upgrade wouldn't be possible.
