Really fantastic good will initiative @AHMED KARAM a.k.a Dr. AMK. We are a really good family here, sharing all our experiences and knowledge. NBR was one of the reasons I got into the up-gradeable machines and now I'm deep down into the rabbit hole and it gets more exciting, hearty congratulations to all of us, for where we all stand together.

It's really a privilege to be mentioned here. My beloved AW17 is ageing and It will stay with me due to a special bond it shares with me and helped me learn a lot and perhaps helped others too. Personally I guess I'm done with DTRs and Notebooks due to anti consumer planned obsolescence. Wish there was an MXM 4.0 that all OEMs agreed on.

It's not over yet! Until clevo drops mxm support, but at this point I don't know what their mxm cards are, odd shaped cards, which needs an extra 3.3v line so they are detected and function correctly. That is HARDLY mxm.

I remember the good old times of the acer 8940g, a rare first gen i7 laptop that still has support for a gtx 1070 due to its 'normal' mxm slot without vbios whitelists (back when acer was at it's peak of outstanding laptops) and it had an overclockable 18.4 1080p LVDS panel up to 120hz. That was a laptop with true mxm support, something you'd expect in 2012/2013 not 2009!

I hope clevo hold out for a bit longer before they start with the retarded designs.

I'm a 2 yr kid learning how and why computer clocks very well at increasing voltage/current curve and observing/calculating why it works. Still, I'm not able to come to conclusion still and still learning.....
