So i want to save my data from my old 100gb hd but all it does is click very loudly from startup...seems like maybe the head has crashed.

when i boot the laptop that the drive is in it gets hung up on the splash screen for several minutes, after that i was able to boot from a usb stick and boot spinrite to try and fix the errors and recover my data, i have performed the 6 hour option 2 recovery and im in the middle of the 24 hour deep scrub to see if that works, so far i have come up with no results.

what can i do to get my data? and sending it to some over priced techs isnt an option for me.
