    Driver help needed for my (2) Nvidia GTS 280M video cards installed

    i need some help please, i am new to this, and never edited video cards, and i have (2) nvidia gforce GTX 280M 1 GB video cards installed in my Alienware M17x that was bought jan 2010... can anyone please help me try to install the most current workable drivers for this stupid laptop, i am so ready to smash it, its gotten to me... i read on other sites where people have edited stuff, and things, but i am not so good at stuff like that, so need some help to with this please

    Have you downloaded the correct drivers? NVIDIA packages their desktop and mobile sets separately. These are the ones you want.

    if youve been having problems loading the drivers follow the manual walk through in my sig below. theres also the links to the nvidia driver page that shows you the last 15 or so drivers.
    as youve got oldish 3-4 year old graphics cards i can highly recommend the best nvidia ever brought out for the 2**GTX 186.81. yes they are old but its best to start off with them and then build upto later ones. its a bit of a bind but i think its the only way to test whats best for your cards. im still running 186.81 on my 260GTX as ive tried newer and never found any more stable.
