So, problem is, i dropped my new Compaq laptop, worked exceptionally before hand, now it still loads up fast, but everytime i try to run something on the laptop, it always takes forever, and when the programs will load, they always go to not responding,

i loaded my phoenixbios, and did a Hard disk self test, the test status came out to #1-07 Fail.

    any ideas?

I think the #1-07 Fail is the result of SMART failing in the SATA controller.

Which HDD is it ? (make/model)

The heads probably collided with the discs and something is damaged.

Get your data backed up without delay. Then go shopping for a new hard drive.

You can buy a HDD with a built-in free fall sensor. It is meant to be able to park the heads before it hits the ground.

Anyway, be thankful that is the only damage.
