I'm in the process of ordering a Sager 5790 laptop from XoticPC, and under the memory options I see normal DDR2 and then other options labled "Dual Channel". What is this magical dual channel? What does it mean, and do I need it? I'm not ordering any memory with the laptop, was going to get some off newegg so I know I can trust the brand. But none of the memory I see on newegg has "dual channel" anywhere in the info. Is it a special type of memory, or just a special way to configure it?

I'm going for max fps in graphically intense games. What is dual channel memory, and do I want it?

    Thanks in advance.
