    Hello,

Well, dual layers DVD have 8.5 GB of storage...so a dual layers DVD burner can write and read it w/o having you to flip the dvd.

Oh so a dual layer dvd is one that you don't need to flip the dvd? I've got a double layer dvd writer so does it mean that I'll need to flip the dvd over to write?

I only use single layer dvd with 4.7gb because I think it is too risky to hold data on dvd's. A few scratches and they are gone. Especially when your holding 8.5gb of data. In addition it is slightly cheaper buying 4.7gb DVD.

Got roughly 200-300 CD's that I burnt from 5-6 years ago, and the cheap quality ones have started to flake.
