I'm sorry if this thread isn't posted in the right discussion section but I don't really know where it should go! lol!
Anyway the matter in hand... I was looking at the NEW Dell XPS M1530 and I really like it, just reading the overview on it on Dell's website
http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xpsnb_m1530?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs
and under the 'Super Stunning Visuals' section it says that it includes Dual-monitor and PIP capability. How do I go about makeing it a Dual-monitor? Do i just connect my old Desktop monitor to the M1530 and it recognizes it as the second screen or do I have to select some option? Also which port do I connect my old monitor to or do I have to get a new monitor alltogether? Also which ports are there that I can connect monitors to?

Most laptops support multiple displays, one being the external, and the other being the default one. Just plug in the second display into the computer, it will recognize it. Ports you can connect to are the D-SUB ports (blue VGA ones) and DVI ports (usually white, has a lot of pins, plus a wird + looking configuration on one side).
