Dell Inspiron 1520....from looking at guides it seems rather difficult to upgrade the RAM b/c u have to literally pry the keyboard out to get to one of the slots...and i would obviously prefer not too...but heres the question...

    which one will be better

2 gb of RAM running in dual channel

or 2.5 GB not dual channel

I kinda had the same confusion a few hours ago. I was thinking of getting two 2gb 667mhz sticks since i had 1gb 533mhz. Just for Dual channel i was going to buy two sticks, however i realized that more memory is anyday better than Dual channel. I decided i'll invest in a single 2gb stick and use the old 1gb 533mhz with it! Saved alot of money with tht and ended up buying Orange box lol... And regarding the installation, Dell has a guide in the printed material you recieve with your laptop. RAM installation shouldnt be tht difficult.

More ram is always better than dual-channel
