    Dump system BIOS? Any idea?

    I have tried looking every where ! i just can do it ... I have been able to dump parts but never the whole thing like i want

    I went into dos and tried a few things but sheesh :(

    so any help would be nice

    Phoenix? Award or Insyde?

    I know this tool is a good one to dump the BIOS:

    Problem is that the bios file you get wont contain the part that is needed in order to be able to flash the BIOS.
    Anyway, that means Phoenix bios editor wont open the file... (well, not mine at least, can't predict what will happen if you try it)

    I think WinPhlash has a BIOS dump function same with Phlash16.

    winplash won't work without a BIOS already present

    hum ill try that in the morning. I have to be up in 3 hours

    Also you might want to run the file with fciv to check the checksum and compare it with AlienWare M17 R1 I have a feeling the BIOS is the same.

    first one was core 2 duo with 9400m chipset
