I'm fairly certain that the N330 is meant for the desktop market, but there is no reason why they could not use it in netbooks.

    Twice the crappy performance. Yay!

While this will deliver around 20% of performance gains, Intel could have spent more on R&D to design a new core that accomplishes more work. Hooray for shortcuts and half-measures, you might as well get two Intel X4500MHDs for all the good it will do.

Most people I know want a computer that looks good and can go on Facebook and MSN.

That fits the bill and does it cheaply and efficiently... not one for us geek types but most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and a high end CPU.

Out of curiosity, will a dual core atom even do flash hd, like youtube HD? I thought I read the low end dual core celeron does it fine with near 100% cpu usage?

It will play 90% of HD Youtube smooth. There are a few clips that will be problematic.

    It's flash performance is similar to a Intel Core2 Duo U7500 @ 1.06GHz.

On the other hand there will be individuals with tastes that will require a netbook which is quite powerful.

They are just using the poorly powered netbooks to get money.
Intel is constantly complaining that putting in a more powerful cpu for example into a netbook would not make it a netbook.

Now this is just my personal opinion, but netbooks should be entirely capable of having a shrunk down Core2Duo on 2 Ghz minimum.
Look at Nvidia ... they are constantly decreasing the existing tech, renaming it and slapping huge prices on it claiming it's new tech when it's not.

I would love having a netbook with me for example so I can keep my notebook at home, but still move everything with ease if need be, and have a decent amount of processing power so I can do some of my stuff.

Does that have 3mb of cache like the U7300? I know my device personally works at 80% on youtube HD video and that with Chorme. Intel is very confusing with their model numbers.

Lenovo had a 11in U110 which was using the intel SL line cpu clocked at 1.6ghz, with the x3100 gpu, same specs as the first gen MBA. If Lenovo kept updating it, there would be no doubt in my mind it be right now using the 2.16ghz SL cpu(like the MBA), but gpu would be another story as it maybe the intel 4500HD(not ION like the MBA).

Each Youtube HD clip is different. The lava scene in Asteroid HD clip will probably cause 100% load on your U7300.
