The E8135 was engineered to have a 55W thermal rating, versus just 25W for the P9600. I think these E series CPU's were made specially for Apple.

The E8135 is a 55W TDP desktop processor, while the P9600 is a 25W TDP laptop processor. They're not interchangeable, despite the fact that they have the same clock speed.

E8135 is an es(engineer sample) chip,
    has similar specs as p9600.
    e8135 is a prototype of p9600.
