Hello guys,
My laptop screen is very dim and I really want to replace it with a more bright and 1080p screen if possible.. the speed of the laptop is good (i7), but I can't use the laptop in light environments because it's very hard to see (it's also glossy).
The screen is this one on panelook:
CMO1599, (1366x768) which uses a LVDS (1 ch, 6-bit), 30 pins Connector
Any screen with this exact connector doesn't seem to go above 1366x768..
Is it possible to use any kind of converter, am I not looking correctly, or am I out of luck?

You can get much better screens regarding colour reproduction and brightness, but to go for a FHD display you will need a cable that is dual lane(or was it 4 lanes) LVDS, because a single LVDS can't drive a FHD display, if there was any laptop of that family with a FHD display might be as easy as replacing the cable, if there was none, you need motherboard schematics to see if the other LVDS lanes are wired up to the connector and then you need to make a custom cable.

PEW91 is the model called of my laptop, which helped me find the schematics, it seems that models PEW71, 81, 91 all have the same motherboard, or at least similar? And it seems that there are some Acer laptops with the same motherboard aswell. But all of them have 1366x768 displays. In the schematics I suppose page 22 shows the information about the LVDS, I really don't know how I should interpret that, but it seems like it is 40 pin?
Maybe you can have a look and help me further? -
Going by the schematics you have 3 lanes of LVDS available at the connector, IF I'm not mistaken for a FHD 60Hz display all you need is a dual channel display, so you will need to either discover some cable already made that matches you current cable, or if you know how to solder, and sourcing an equal cable you could remove the pins from one cable to get the extra LVDS channel and then solder the extra channel on the LCD side(if its soldered), or if its a connector with pins, removing a pair of LVDS wires from a donor cable and adding it into your current cable might be doable.

Unfortunately, it is really a single channel LVDS motherboard:
The confusion is understandable since LVDS needs a lot more pins/wires per channel than eDP does for its lanes, about 8+ vs. 2+. That's also why the new interface was developed; the massive connectors needed for 3k and 4k wouldn't have fit inside a laptop and only grudgingly inside a desktop monitor.
This is a list of the current L0B and compatible drop-in matte panels with a slightly higher brightness and a much better gamut:
