I have all the requirements excepting the graphics card, which is half of what the game would like it to be. I've got an NVidia GeForce FX Go5200, 64MB. Oblivion requires 128MB. I was able to make the game run by downloading the driver for the 128MB, but it runs _painfully_ slowly. Moving is an agonizing process, and battle is pretty much a no-go.
Is it going to be feasible for me to replace my graphics card? Affordably? It doesn't need to be top-of-the-line for very long; all I would like is for it to run Oblivion and remain moderately modern until 2008, which is when I forecast my next computer purchase will be (college graduation).
I understand from an article on this site that I ought to get a dedicated, versus an integrated, graphics card; however the article was dated 2005 and said Dell was very finicky about its graphics cards and required Dell-specific cards from ATI. I worry that the article is dated because my computer came, when I bought it from Dell, with its NVidia card...so I am not sure the Dell-ATI link is still intact, or essential.
Any ideas?

You cannot upgrade the GPU in 99% of all laptops out there. Sorry, you're out of luck, you'd need a new laptop.
