I have a Elitebook 8770w on the way. It is being represented as a gaming laptop with a AMD Firepro M2 XT GL graphics card in it. Does Hp even offer a gaming version.
It has the i7-3630QM cpu. 16gb ram. SSD and hhd.
I'm not a gamer. But I do have a drone that can film in 4k. It would be nice if this set up would be able to view my 4k footage. But I don't think it will. I will have it hooked up to my big screen tv.
So any info on this card would be great. Thanks.
It is the first one listed below. How does it compare to the rest on the list. Being the first one, is it the best or worst.
AMD FirePro M5950 XT-GL 1GB GDDR5 (DP 1.2 and Eyefinity Plus support)

NVIDIA Quadro 3000M, N14E-Q1 2 GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory

NVIDIA Quadro 4000M, N14E-Q3 2 GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory

NVIDIA Quadro 5010M, N14E-Q5 4 GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory

Its decent, its the worst and the best(5010m) isn't that great,by today standards, here's the details https://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-FirePro-M5950.51673.0.html this website helps in determine laptop gpu performance and even youtube, But that specific laptop is great, i thought about getting one a while back, you can easily upgrade the gpu and cpu, i think you can max out and put a i7-3940xm in it and a gtx 980m in it, which would be a great combo. And you might have the dreamcolor display also which is a geat lcd for video making, and 2 HDD slots

How do I tell if I have the dreamcolor display?
-
It will usually have the dream color sticker on the display bezel. Also, it will have the display software for color calibration. Dreamcolor uses IPS so the viewing angles will be really good. Technically, the system can handle a 980M, but it will be too hot to run long term. ESPECIALLY with a 3930XM, the 8770w uses a single fan system for both the CPU and GPU. So you can imagine the heat issues if you have both running. I use an i7-3840QM and a 970M on my 8770w and it works great. If you decide to go nVidia though, you will need the nVidia heatsink and I would recommend getting a quad core heatsink too. (It has two heat pipes versus the standard one heat pipe for the cpu.)
Elitebook 8770w. Need graphics info. AMD Firepro M2 XT GL
