Is there any way to remove the region code change setting which allows for 5 changes to be made?

    I watch region 1 & 2 DVDs all the time and this is a PIA [ :(!]

Tell it like it is...NOT how it should be :)

Its not something that really interested me, meaning I did not have a use for this but I've read of it awhile back so it can be done. I'd suggest doing a search on google or this forum. I believe it can be done though. Just to point out the mod's might not answer you because this is kind of a priacy question, I know your not stealing but its not legal either. This site is very honest so if its in the grey they won't answer.

It is very much anti-piracy and DRM protection, so that cheap DVD prirate copies can't be so easily distributed worldwide, at least in theory.

Took you awhile to come back to your question [ :)] Its not about stealing but like bmhome1 just said its for anti piracy. I don't know the reasoning behind it all but your allowed for some reason to change region 5 times and no more. If they wanted it to be unlimited they would have made it so, so all I mean is that the mods might not help you undo a type of security feature that DVD rom's have.
