Hey guys, I am trying to enable AHCI on my HDX16t so that I can get the most out of my intel SSD X25-M.
I plan to do a default system restore by using the "Clean Vista install WITH NO ACTIVATION" thread with an original vista CD.
    1) Anyone have any ideas on how to enable this?
    2) Is it enabled by default?
    3) And if so, how can I tell?

I tried poking around the HP BIOS and there doesn't seem to be anything on AHCI. It's like HP hid that option or something.

    Any help would be nice!

AFAIK this option should be in BIOS and that's where you can find it. Maybe it's not written AHCI exactly.

Mine doesn't have an option either, I've always just assumed it was locked out. Try giving HP an email, I'm curious too.
