Amazon.com: HP ENVY 15 Notebook (Intel Core i7 EXTREME i7-920XM Quad Processor - 2.00GHz with TURBO BOOST to 3.20GHz, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB Hard Drive 1000 GB, 15.6-inch WIDESCREEN display, DVD±R/RW CD-R/RW drive, Windows 7) Ultra light portable Laptop PC:

NEW HP ENVY 15 Laptop Core i7 EXTREME i7-920XM Notebook - eBay (item 360300465841 end time Sep-18-10 15:58:57 PDT)

Hey, just came across these links, which both claim there's a 920XM Envy 15 which is the "extreme limited edition", is this legitimate? I've been wanting to put a 940XM in my Envy 15 but I wasn't sure it could handle the heat.

Is the cooling revised for this or is it the normal cooler maybe? What does everyone think this means as far as 940XM/920XM processors in Envy 15s?

Isnt the cooling system in the newer envy 15 (5830 version) better than in the older model so it could well work. It could work but at the same time HP have a habit of making notebooks with components which run too hot in the standard chassis so it could well run hot. If you want to find out whether that model is legitimate why not give HP a call.
