    ES or not, I think that a t9400 for $1.00 or a t9500 for $4.00 is a scam.

ES chips are fine, but most do not have any temperature monitoring ability.
The chips you are looking for must not work, or it is a scam. ES chips usually go for like $50 less than retail prices.
That being said a T9400 should be around $300
    and a T9500 should be around $350

The guy selling those chips must be a scammer cause its not possible to sell working cpu's for that price.

what laptop do you have, because those two chips are socket P monteveina chips (1066MHz FSB) and they will not work in older systems.

Or maybe he's talking about the current bidding price rather than a final purchase price?

The lowest price ANY T9400 has sold for recently is $110 + s/h. I would expect to pay somewhere around there if I were you.

You do realize that the T9400 and T9500 have different FSB speeds, right?

their is a lot of bidding time left, expect to pay in the $150-300 range for either of them.

As BobXX noted, they are different processors, santa rosa and monteveina.
The T9400 is monteveina (1066MHz FSB)
The T9500 is santa rosa (800MHz FSB)

What laptop are you planning to install one in?

In that case, a T9400 would be a better choice.

The MSI-1615 is the same as the GX620, which is based on the monteveina chips, so yeah you should look into the T9400.
