Again, I am trying to scrap the parts off of my dead Toshiba to place inside a Z96J and like the title said, can this be done? I would really save a bundle by doing this. The only thing I would really have to buy would be the RAM, which comes cheap from Newegg and HD, also cheap.

    Thanx

Maybe Anatel, not sure, but the p/n is PA3362U-1MPC. It also has an intel logo on it.

According to the part number, its Toshiba band, Since because of this, it will not work on your Asus laptop...the BIOS. If it was Intel, it would work fine. Sorry about this.

Heh. Seems to me alot of resellers are just universally calling them "mini pci" regardless of the actual format. (Cost me an extra $60 on the Z84 I built for my friend, grrrr).

That 2200BG mini-PCI card should work with any notebook with a mini-PCI slot.

The Asus Z96J has a mini PCI-express slot and not a mini-PCI slot, the two are not compatible. The Intel 2200 will not work but an Intel 3945 will though.

Unfortunately this is not a part you can swap.

Yep, I actually just got off the phone with Ken, and had him add my Wireless NIC card to my total, which I still have it under $1,100.
