    Hi there,

I was wondering if somebody here has experience with the original 1.8" pata zif64 gb ssd option from HP (i believe the 463602-001). In my case i would be using it for a 2710p tablet.

With my employer i'm only able to order orginal parts only. I was wondering what the make and model are that HP uses as their option. As the speeds of ssd's seem to diifer a lot. I would love to know what the speed of this SSD is like and how it compares to aftermarket SSD's like from runcore. If there is a big difference i might be thinking about paying for it myself (as they are able to offer a 128gb option).

    regards,

    René

It's probably one of the early Samsung SLC drives. Maybe like 90/70 sequential R/W and 2MB/s random writes? Definitely slower than the various Indilinx-based Runcore Pro IVs, but you probably won't notice too much of a difference between the two, especially if you're just doing office work.

See 64GB 1.8" Samsung ZIF SSD benchmarks in a 2510P. 13kb reads are OK, but the write is quite poor, as was the case with many first-gen SSDs. Well worth spending to get the Runcore ProIV. Can see comparative 1.8" ZIF SSD benchmarks here.
