    Hi,

    Is it true that some Sony batteries explode if they are hot and then are knocked in the right place? If if is that is so amazing. I heard that someone caught it on camera phone. OMG. One reason not to get a Vaio!

    a) If your using it on you lap you could get owned ( http://you.justgotowned.com)
    b) Your hard disk would go up in smoke so bye, bye your coursework.

    Is this true or is it just my friends winding me up?

    it was happening at one point, and it wasnt just vaio's any laptop that used sony as a supplier for batteries was getting recalled. there was a video of one sitting on a desk at some conference that just burst into flames. o and some of the ones it happened to were not even on. they fixed the problem tho.
