I recently purchased a xplore IX104C4 tablet. I did a clean install of windows 7 and installed drivers from the xplore website. The tablet is a Dual Mode Allvue Extreme model. I can't get touch to work only digitizer. I can't toggle digitizer/dual mode/touch. Also the status LED is solid red when the tablet is shut down. There does seem to be an issue with the tablet remembering what time it is so the red indicator may mean a CMOS battery problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you completed all the Windows Update including SP1, all 'Windows and other MS Software updates' and any indicated device drivers?

There are still some windows updates waiting but it does have SP1, they mostly seem to be security updates. I also used DriverUpdate to install drivers.

DriverUpdate? That could be the issue right there.

Only consider drivers from the manufacturer (if still current) or from WU (as the manufacturer's often let MS take care of things after a while).
