I'm after something which allows me to watch TV, i've been looking at what AVerMedia offer, they offer quite a few, now im not actually entirely sure in the difference between hybrid and digital, anyone care to explain in simple terms, i assume they both should work on my laptop (NP5793).

I'm after something which allows me to watch Freeview in the UK as well so it picks the channels up, i will be connecting this to an actual roof aerial so signal should not be a problem but i want something reliable.

Anyone have used these or are using these or could recommend ?

or does anyone know what TV card i could put into my NP5793? i know it could have been fitted inside at manufacture, but i didn't get one with mine.

A hybrid tuner can decode both digital and analog signals. A digital tuner may only be able to decode digital signals.

I have two AverMedia miniPCI tv tuners in my laptop, and they are quite decent.
I would contact the manufacturer, where you bought your laptop, and ask them which tv tuner they have, which is compatible with your system. Usually they will be able to sell you one without any hassle.
