    What are devices that can only fit in an Expresscard/54 slot? Is it that much of a hindrance to only have a 34 slot by the way? I know that both have the same size connector and that there are or in the future will be many 34 flavors of the 54 ones out there. But I'd like to know which things right now are and can be expected to only fit in a 54 slot. Thanks.

    The only things i see that only fits a 54 slot are the remotes and smart card readers and a mouse and tv tuner . Most other things have a 34mm variation and the 54mm slot is universal(accepts 34mm devices) i believe.

    I think it would be fairly annoying to only have a 34 slot, since you couldn't put in the Creative X-Fi soundcard in a 34 size slot. Plus, I'd assume that many EC TV tuners are 54 size cards. That about covers 1/2 of what EC can do - the rest is expanding ports, like IEEE1394 and USB2.0, or card readers, which can easily be made in a 34 size card.
